A plane heading to south China’s Guangzhou returned to Melbourne Airport after a mechanical breakdown, the airline said on its official Weibo account.

The flight China Southern Airlines CZ344 departed Melbourne at 9:57 a.m. BJT on Saturday. The crew decided to return to the airport to ensure flight safety after the mechanical problem appeared, and landed at 11:22 a.m. BJT.

The flight has been canceled, and the plane is now under inspection and maintenance.
