Beijing’s first maglev line will start operation at the end of 2017, connecting Mentougou District in the west with the city's busiest subway line 1. The S1 maglev line is ten kilometers long, with eight stops, and two transfer stations. Once in operation, it will be the busiest commuter maglev line in China.
