Pyeongchang 2018: 'Peace in Motion' kicks off Winter Games

Competitions for the 2018 Winter Olympics began on Thursday. And then the much-anticipated opening ceremony began on Friday evening. The President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in shakes hands with Kim Yo Jong, the sister of the DPRK's leader Kim Jong Un. The event, titled "Peace in Motion" started at 8 p.m. local time. It's being held at the PyeongChang Olympic Stadium in the mountain town of Hoenggye. That's in Gangwon province's PyeongChang county. The ceremony includes an elaborate spectacle of entertainment about the host country, a parade of athletes and the lighting of the Olympic torch. Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy Han Zheng is in attendance. China sent 87 delegates to the parade at the open-air Olympic Stadium.
