Pakistan's Independent News quoted Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi referring to Xi Jinping as the chief architect of China's "major-country diplomacy" policy, and how the Chinese president was personally involved in much of the work.
In Nepal, the Kathmandu Post alluded to something said by a former leader of China's top policial advisory body. Yu Zhengsheng said, in China's new era, the CPPCC would closely unite around the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with Xi Jinping as its core. He added that the body would stay committed to making recommendations to how to deepen reform.
In Cambodia, the Khmer Times said the Belt & Road Initiative was focused on connectivity and cooperation between Eurasian nations, with China at the centre of a massive trade network.
And the Philippine News Agency quotes the Chinese premier, who said China had opened its doors wider to the world, how it was now driving its own development harder, as well as creating more opportunities for the rest of the world."
