The creation was completed by four juniors majoring in arts and design at the Beijing Institute of Technology in two weeks after they agreed on turning their dorm into a space capsule. "The space capsule idea comes from Star Wars," Deng Yadong, the initiator of the “space mission”, told the Beijing Youth Daily. /Beijing Youth Daily Photo
The room features blue LED blacklights lining the ceiling and dorm bunks. "The blue light makes it like our dorm is in space," Deng explained. The room is also equipped with futuristic smart functions, like automatic curtains that close when the door is opened and an air conditioner controlled by a smartphone. /Beijing Youth Daily Photo
There is also a trash bin on wheels which was modified with the chassis of a remote control car, and can come to you with the touch of a button. /Beijing Youth Daily Photo
But all this high-tech magic disappears if there's no electricity or internet, said Song Shantai, another roommate. /via Weibo
