A grand military parade marked the 90th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) on Sunday at the Zhurihe military training base in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It was the first ever special parade to celebrate the founding of the army, the first to be carried out under field conditions in recent years, and the first since the full implementation of the national defense and military reforms.
