South Africa's delegation to the China International Import Expo will be led by Trade and Industry Minister, Rob Davies. He will be focusing on promoting the country's key growth sectors, particularly the production of wines. Travers Andrews spoke to the minister about their strategy.

ROB DAVIES SOUTH AFRICAN TRADE AND INDUSTRY MINISTER "We will be focusing at the China International Import Expo on agricultural and agri-processing products, but other value-added products as well, I think that what we are hoping to do, that since this is an event that going to bring together, my information tells me, thousands of procurer mainly from China, but also from other parts of the world, it is a kind of unique opportunity to showcase our wares, so we are going to be showing what we got and I think definitely South African wines have been growing in China, their penetration has been increasing. I don't know of any such event held anywhere in the world, so it's a unique event, of course, it is an event of scale, so we are taking it extremely seriously and we will be exhibiting in the business pavilion, as well as the national stand."
