Many successful female entrepreneurs and business leaders have carved out their own mark in the fashion industry. And as their careers rise, they are using their voices to inspire and help other women to do better and be their best. Tory Burch is one such big name.
She is the founder and CEO of the American fashion label that bears her name. Since the establishment of the Tory Burch Foundation, many women have started their own businesses with access to low-cost capital, education, and mentorship.
"I have a deep feeling that women do support women," Burch said during an interview with CGTN.
Asked to name the most impressive female entrepreneur that she has helped, Burch gave the example of a chocolatier from the US state of Maine. “We just had our fellowship program; the winner is a woman that started a chocolate factory, because her mom was sick, and her mom had taught her to make chocolate bars… It turns out she had a great company and great idea, the whole state got behind her.”
Burch added, “There is a woman who consults on getting diversity into companies; there are so many different kinds of companies, one thing that is very similar – they are all inspiring. Those women are talented and smart, and they are always holding two jobs, and they are getting it done.”
