The dispute between the United Kingdom and Russia over the poisoning of an ex-Russian spy in the UK continues. Though no evidence lays the blame on Russia, the UK and its allies including the US, continue to point the finger at Moscow.
On March 14th, Theresa May said London had expelled 23 Russian diplomats over the incident. Moscow denied any responsibility, and retaliated by ordering out the same number of Britons three days later.
On March 26th, Donald Trump ordered the expulsion of 60 Russians from the nation, and closed the Russian consulate in Seattle, echoing the UK's move.
Meanwhile, 14 European Union countries have decided to expel Russian diplomats in the wake of the poisoning.
Moscow then closed the US consulate in St. Petersburg, and expelled 60 US diplomats in addition to ordering over 50 British diplomats to leave Russia. They also ejected scores of diplomats from other countries that joined London and Washington in blaming Moscow over the incident.
