In about 30 years, artificial intelligence will have an IQ of 10,000, said SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son on Wednesday. By comparison, the average human IQ is 100 and a genius may be 200.
To many scientists, they believe that the invention of artificial super-intelligence will abruptly trigger runaway technological growth, resulting in unfathomable changes to human civilization. In the future, AI robots with the ability of machine learning technology are considered to be smarter than the human brains. This hypothesis is often referred as “singularity."

Though when this will happen remains debated among tech community, Son described it as a future “happening in this century for sure."
"This is the tipping point, crossing point, that artificial intelligence or computer intelligence surpasses mankind's brain… I would say there is no more debate, no more doubt," Son says.
In his opinion, the intelligence of computers will be higher than that of human “in the next 30 years or so." Additionally, AI technology will “dramatically change every industry." Motivated by this thought, he has heavily invested in the field of AI research and development.
At present, Son is in charge of Vision Fund of about 100 billion US dollars, one of the largest investment funds in the world. He plans to invest in companies that have at least some relationship to AI “within five years.”

"Thirty years from now, they are going to learn by themselves, they are maybe going to laugh at you and us … Today they look cute, they will stay cute, but they will be super smart," he said.
“30 years from now, most of the subjects, they will be so much smarter than us. They are going to be a million times smarter than today, million times."
According to Son, AI robots in some areas have already shown better performance than humans at present. Under this circumstance, mankind’s only way to reign supreme over robots is imagination.
“The power of the brain is no limit. The imagination that we can have has no limit. So we are also going to and have to improve our imaginations and our feelings, gut feeling.”
