Fishermen in Shanghai recently found a three-meter-long cutlassfish during fishery monitoring along the Yangtze River. A local expert told the fishermen that the fish, 3.16 meters in length and 6.2 kilograms in weight, was an oarfish. This cutlassfish was much larger than normal, as the regular ones are usually 0.7 to 0.8 meters long only.
