In south China, continuous snowfall has created havoc in many people's lives. But warm stories have continued to emerge from the cold weather.
In southwest China's Guizhou Province, an expectant mother got trapped on her way to the hospital due to icy roads.
"We are clearing the way for the ambulance," said one police.
The policemen attempted to rescue the woman from both ends of the road. After one hour of rescue work, the expectant mother finally made her way to the hospital and had an easy delivery.
Moving to the north of Guizhou province, migrant workers began to return home as the Chinese New Year approaches.
Local authorities set up several service stations for the returning workers, providing food and water in the cold weather.
"There are some instant noodles, bread, and water for them," said Chen Lirong, political instructor of Huanglian Village Police Station.
In central China, the snowy weather has stranded hundreds of vehicles on the highway.
"It took me over 10 hours in two days. I want to go home to see my aged parents as soon as possible," one of the villagers said about his journey home to Hubei and Anhui provinces.
Authorities have taken emergency measures to provide daily support for the stranded people. The policemen were also arranged to take care of them in the cold.
"We have been trapped here about 17 hours. I want to thank the traffic police for their bread and water," said one of the trapped drivers.
