China's political advisors are gathering in Beijing for a key annual meeting.
Over two thousand members of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference will have their first session on Saturday. They will raise proposals regarding the economy, politics and social development to lawmakers of the National People's Congress. About three-thousand NPC deputies are scheduled to open THEIR annual session on Monday. The deputies from across the nation will elect state leadership, discuss Constitutional amendment, and deliberate on the government work report. The political gatherings are collectively known as the Two Sessions.
