UN Security Council meets on threats to aviation security

Terrorist groups often view planes as targets, making the threat against aviation a big concern.

This includes things like airport bombs, home-made explosives snuck onto planes or the use of projectiles against aircraft.

The UN’s International Civil Aviation Organization oversees the issues and is warning that counter-measures need to be improved.
