France's President is hoping to boost ties and trade with India as he visits New Delhi.

Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi signed several deals on nuclear energy, defense, trade and space exploration. The French president says he wants to be India's best trading partner in Europe. During his four-day visit, the two countries will co-host the first meeting of the International Solar Alliance, an initiative they launched during the Paris Climate Conference in 2015.
