The US opened a five-million-US-dollar counter-terrorism center in Jordan on Thursday. The facility can help local police officers hone their shooting skills, and practice storming hideouts and responding to bomb threats. The aim of the center is to improve the safety of US diplomats and citizens abroad and to support Washington’s allies.
