And members of other delegations are also making their returns home -- including the DPRK. Their delegation, including their athletes and the cheer squad returning back to their country, after their participation at the Games in South Korea.
As you can see, the members of the DPRK delegation, comprising of their athletes, cheerleaders, coaching staff, officials and journalists, disembarked from the team bus at the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine office in Paju. This is the transit points between the two neighbouring countries, from where the 299-member DPRK delegation was heading north back to their country. The female members sported elegant red coats with black fur collars and matching fur hats while their male counterparts donned spotless black coats. Wearing their national flag on their coats and showing their trademark discipline, they patiently queue to go through the different transit processes and immigration formalities. Even though their 22 participating athletes didn't make a single podium finish, the PyeongChang Games were a memorable one for the DPRK delegation. They certainly had their moment in the spotlight and won many hearts with their dramatic arrival and also fielding a joint women's ice hockey team along with their South Korean counterparts.
