A fire broke out at Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, on Saturday.
The incident took place in a part of the temple at around 6:40 p.m. local time, but the blaze has been put out.
Local authorities said there are no casualties and no cultural relics were damaged.
The cause of the fire remains unclear.
Included on UNESCO's World Heritage list in 2000 as part of the Potala Palace, the Buddhist temple is not only the holiest destination for pilgrims but also a tourist attraction.
The cover video was shot by a Weibo user who is in Lhasa, but its authenticity has yet to be confirmed independently by CGTN.
