Trump didn’t change his position on steel tariffs, and accused the EU of making it hard for US companies to do business there. However, he reassured his ally that any tariffs would be carried out in a “very loving way.” Trump said he would straighten out the trade issue while improving relations with other nations because they would then "respect us much more.”
