For the first time, the White House articulated its China policy in an exclusive interview with CGTN.
US President Donald Trump's National Security Adviser General H. R. McMaster told CGTN's Wang Guan that the administration seeks to expand cooperation with China, both in security and economic ties.
General McMaster also talked about expectations for Trump's upcoming trip to China, which Beijing says will be a "state visit plus."
McMaster warns that time is running out to resolve the tensions with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), and offered a path forward without war. He also talked about the US view of the new Chinese leadership coming out of the recently concluded 19th Party Congress.
