US President Donald Trump is expected to welcome his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron for a state visit in late April, US media reported on Tuesday, citing senior administration officials.
A date for the visit has yet to be decided and the White House was expected to make the official announcement as soon as this week, according to a CNN report.
Trump and Macron have met and phoned each other several times over the past year. The two have struggled to soften divergence over climate change and trade liberalization by seeking common ground on security and fight against terrorism.
