M6.5 earthquake hits off Costa Rican coast near the capital, says USGS

A 6.5-magnitude quake struck off the coast of Costa Rica near the capital, San Jose, on Sunday night, according to the US Geological Survey.
The quake was centered 71 km southwest of San Jose at a depth of 10 km, the USGS said.
No casualties have been reported so far.
