With the Chinese New Year just around the corner, Spring Festival lantern exhibitions are being set-up across China, as celebrations and festivities get underway.
In Sichuan Province -- the home of the Giant Panda -- organizers in Ya'an are preparing visitors for a panda light show. 57 groups of lanterns have already been put up. Visitors will be able to go boating, and enjoy the views and beauties of the lantern festival, from a range of different angles. Over in Chongqing, red lanterns have been put up throughout the streets, giving the mountain-city a festive atmosphere. And in the much colder province of Hebei, a lantern show has already attracted thousands of daily visitors. The colored lanterns, to be displayed up until March 4th, are said to symbolize people's good wishes for the new year.
