Two killed in explosion at factory in East China

Two people were killed when a pipeline exploded in a workshop of a biotech company in east China’s Jiangsu Province early on Saturday.

Another seven people are reported trapped under debris as a search and rescue operation continues.

Local police responded to the explosion at around 2:20 a.m, and the fire was brought under control at 5:00 a.m..

The local environmental department said the explosion hasn’t caused any harm to the area.

The cause of the explosion remains unclear at this stage.
