Five people were killed and several were injured after a bus veered off a bridge in east China’s Fujian Province on Friday, around 11 p.m. local time, according to local authorities.

The bus, carrying 19 people, including 17 students, fell off the Shanwei Bridge in Gaiwei town, Xianyou county, Putian city at around 5:40 p.m. BJT on Friday.
There were initial reports of 15 primary school students and two adults aboard, but local authorities updated the number on Saturday.
