More than 100 captive animals have been released into the wild in southwestern China’s Yunnan Province. They include three macaques under second-class state protection, 10 hedgehogs, two budgerigars and 103 serpents. Some of the animals were seized by police and some were in poor shape when they were found by locals. After receiving treatment, their condition improved so much that they could be reintroduced to the wild.
