Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Anders Samuelsen has met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing. Both sides have agreed to strengthen ties and exchanges, and that is starting with a Danish royal invitation for President Xi Jinping to visit in the near future. CGTN's Ren Xueqian has more.
Talking trade and cooperation with the world's second largest economy. That's the agenda for Danish foreign minister Anders Samuelsen, who's on a two-day trip in China. It's a milestone in relations for both countries this year. Chinese foreign minister Wang said bilateral ties have maintained good momentum over the years, and that China is ready to go further.
WANG YI CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTER "This year's marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between China and Denmark. This milestone marks a new beginning for bilateral relations. China is willing to work with Denmark to realize the consensus reached by our leaders."
Wang said China will uphold the principles of mutual respect and equality to ensure win-win cooperation, as it continues to strengthen exchanges and cooperation. Samuelsen welcomed such remarks and extended his country's invitation to deepen exchanges with China.

According to Denmark's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, bilateral trade with China reached over 100 billion yuan in 2015. Trade between the two countries is fast growing in areas such as green energy, agriculture, innovation, and education.
