We begin here in Beijing, where Chinese President Xi Jinping has welcomed Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen. Bellen is accompanied by four ministers, which is Austria's most senior delegation ever. Trade volume between China and Austria in 2017 was nearly 8-point-4 billion US dollars, and trade is growing faster than trade between China and Europe as a whole.
In the meeting, the two leaders reached an agreement on establishing a friendly strategic partnership and advancing bilateral pragmatic cooperation to a new level. After the Austrian president's Beijing visit, he will travel to China's Hainan Province to attend the Boao Forum for Asia.
