South Korea's former President Lee Myung-bak was grilled by prosecutors on Wednesday over a string of corruption charges including bribery, embezzlement, and tax evasion.
The allegations date back to his presidential term, which ran from 2008 to 2013, and also involve Lee's relatives and aides. The bribes allegedly amount to millions of dollars. Lee read a brief statement before going into the prosecutors' office, apologizing for worrying the South Korean people.
