Memos written by Former FBI director James Comey last year say US President Donald Trump repeatedly raised concerns over salacious allegations in a controversial dossier commissioned by the Clinton election campaign. The memos say he also stressed the need for loyalty and ferreting out leakers. Comey's interactions with Trump are a critical part of special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into whether the president sought to obstruct justice.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has cut short his participation in the Commonwealth summit in Britain to tackle clashes at home. Ramaphosa called on law-enforcement agencies to exercise maximum restraint in handling protests over jobs, housing and corruption in North West province.  
German police have began evacuating thousands of people around an area in central Berlin, as bomb disposal experts prepare to defuse an unexploded World War 2 explosive. Trains, trams and buses were halted and rerouted.
