London City Airport has been shut down after a World War Two bomb was discovered in the nearby River Thames.
The ordnance was found as planned works were being carried out at King George the fifth Dock, close to the runway of the UK capital's most central airport. Metropolitan Police said the discovery was reported before dawn on Sunday, at around 5 GMT, and an exclusion zone was put in place at 22 GMT.
The unexploded ordnance is being dealt with by specialist police officers working alongside the Royal Navy.
