Paris' Notre Dame cathedral, one of the world's most visited tourist attractions, has launched a crowdfunding appeal aiming to raise 100 million euros (123 million dollars) to restore its crumbling gargoyles to their former glory. Last restored in the mid 1990s, the cathedral has suffered from pollution, and conservationists are hoping the public will help them raise the funds to help clean it up.
