Man shot in Iran after trying to break into president's office

A machete-wielding man was shot and arrested after trying to break into the Iran president's Tehran office on Monday, the city’s deputy governor was quoted as saying by Fars news agency.

The man managed to get to the office's second security gate when security forces opened fire after warning him to drop the machete.

His identity and motive were not immediately clear.
