11 suspects detained over Tianjin building fire
Police have detained 11 suspects in connection with the deadly fire that broke out on Friday in a building in Tianjin, north China, killing 10 people and injuring five others.
The fire broke out early morning at the 38th floor of a residential building in Hexi District. Abandoned interior decoration materials are believed to have been behind the blaze, according to an investigation report released on Sunday.
The document also noted that the water tanks were dry.
By Saturday, all the victims had been identified. Authorities said they were males, and mostly migrant workers who had been doing renovation work.
Police say the case is still under investigation.
