The National Conference on Service Trade and Business Services was held in Beijing Tuesday morning.
China’s scale of service trade was the second largest in the world in 2017. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the State Council has issued a series of documents to promote the development of service trade, service outsourcing, cultural trade, and the exhibition industry.

Of the 6.3 trillion yuan income in the domestic service industry, growth in housekeeping and catering was generally higher than the total retail sales of consumer goods. The consumption of services has become more diversified. But a lack of supply is mainly reflected in the uneven quality of employees, most notably in housekeeping services. For the year ahead, the government has outlined a plan.
“The future of service trade and the domestic service industry will be unified under the banner of 'Chinese service'. We want 'Chinese service' to be a brand. On the one hand, we export our best services to foreign countries. On the other hand, we improve our service quality and supply as much as we can. It will be 'one banner, two branches' under 'Chinese service',” said Xian Guoyi, Director of National Services Division.
