China has reiterated its stance on US arms sales to Taiwan on Wednesday. The spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council Ma Xiaoguang said China opposes any form of official and military contact between Taiwan and the United States.
He also said China opposes the US selling weapons to Taiwan, and that stance has always been clear and consistent.
China is urging the US to abide by the one-China policy and the principles of the three Sino-US Joint Communiques.
Taiwan had earlier confirmed the US granted a license needed to sell technology in order for the region to build its own submarines.
