Message in Bottle: Oldest-known message in a bottle found on Western Australia beach

The oldest-known message in a bottle was found 132 years after it was thrown overboard. The bottle was found on sand dunes north of Wedge Island, and will be on display at a museum for two years. The bottle was one of thousands used in a long-term experiment the German Naval Observatory did to better understand global ocean currents and more efficient shipping routes.
