China’s Xi, German counterpart mark ties anniversary with partnership vow

China attaches great importance to its relations with Germany and is willing to cooperate more with the European country, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Germany diplomatic relations.
Xi made the remarks when exchanging congratulatory messages with his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
China and Germany are all-round strategic partners, Xi said. Over the past 45 years, their relations have witnessed rapid progress, their cooperation has expanded in breadth and depth, and the two peoples have got to know each other and their friendship has deepened, he added.
Steinmeier said the Germany-China relationship is dynamic and has real potential for long-term development.
Germany is willing to work with China to deepen and expand the mutually beneficial and win-win cooperative partnership, he said.
