China-South Korea-Japan Summit: Japan to host trilateral summit, with DPRK likely topping agenda

Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe has confirmed a summit next week involving Japan, South Korea and China, and it's expected to focus on the DPRK's nuclear program. It is one of the regular summits hosted in turn by each of the three nations. The first meeting was held in Japan in 2008. South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang are expected to join Abe in Tokyo on May 9th.

I would like to talk with South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang until we fully understand each other. We would like to explore the right steps for the DPRK to take for a bright future, including ending their nuclear weapons programme."
