The eastern Chinese city of Nanjing observed one minute's silence for the Nanjing Massacre victims 80 years ago on Wednesday. Pedestrians stood still on the streets and car horns blared in tribute. China holds an annual memorial on December 13 to mourn the more than 300,000 Chinese killed by the invading Japanese army.
