Three militants killed during security operation in Sopore, Kashmir

Three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants were killed in a gunfight with Indian security forces in the town of Sopore in Baramulla district in India-controlled part of Kashmir on Saturday, Indian broadcaster NDTV reported.

"The terrorists were killed in Amargarh area of Sopore in an encounter with police, army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)," police spokesman Manoj Pandita said.

Two of the three militants were identified as locals, while the identity of the third remains unknown.
