A new poll in Japan makes for bad reading for Shinzo Abe. The survey suggests support for the prime minister is at its lowest level since his re-election last October. Abe and his finance minister, Taro Aso have been on the ropes in recent days following revelations that key documents relating to a controversial land sale were doctored before being sent to lawmakers. The poll released by the national public broadcaster NHK said his popularity fell by two percentage points this month, while a separate one suggested it was down by as much as six percentage points.
