China's Spring Festival travel rush, Chunyun, has entered its tenth day. Technology has helped to ease the pressure as travel flow continues to increase. This year, passenger traffic during the 40-day-long Spring Festival travel period, ending on March 12th, is expected to reach almost 3 billion. New facial recognition checkpoints have been put into use at high-speed railway stations in major cities. It only takes a passenger five seconds to pass through the gates. Nanchang station has also released a new app to keep passengers informed of travel updates. Meanwhile, to ensure a safe and efficient commute, the city of Tianjin has been activitely monitoring travel flow in the railway station. The police at the station has suggested parents to keep an eye on their children to ensure safety.
