Heavy snow has blanketed Istanbul for a second day, resulting in traffic chaos - thousands of flights were canceled on Sunday, affecting tens of thousands of tourists. Snowfall was forecast to decrease later in the day, but unusually cold temperatures are expected throughout the week. National carrier Turkish Airlines alone has canceled more than 600 flights, including all domestic routes until the evening.
