An Israeli security guard was stabbed and seriously injured in a knife attack outside Jerusalem's central bus station on Sunday, according to the Israeli police.

The police said they have arrested the suspect, a 24-year-old Palestinian resident of the West Bank. They also describe the incident as a "terror attack."

The 25-year-old Israeli guard sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, reports Xinhua citing Israel's Magen David Adom emergency medical service.
