Now for the crash of an Iranian passenger plane. Search efforts were suspended on Sunday night due to bad weather.
Local officials said the difficult mountain terrain and foggy weather had hampered the search operation. Over a hundred emergency personnel, and around 70 local mountain climbers have been mobilized in the efforts.
The twin-engined turboprop jet crashed near the town of Semirom in southern Iran on Sunday afternoon. All 65 on board on the Aseman Airline flight are feared dead. The search operation is expected to resume on Monday.
