Ethiopian Plane Crash: Officials from Ethiopia, Kenya send condolences

In Ethiopia, the government has declared a national day of mourning. The country's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta have sent their condolences to the loved ones of the deceased. CGTN's Asta Tall has more from Nairobi.
Kenyan officials responded by providing support to families of passengers on board.
JAMES MACHARIA, CABINET SECRETARY KENYAN MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT "We are focusing more on the welfare of friends and relatives of the passengers who as of now are at the Sheraton Four Points hotel within the vicinity of the airport."
Two emergency centers were set up to support families and friends of passengers on board.
ASTA TALL NAIROBI "Once family members arrived at Jomo Kenyatta international airport they were transported to the Sheraton four pints hotel for further information as well as counseling services from The Kenya Red Cross."
