Since 2001, China has marked March 18 as National Protect Your Liver Day, to help raise awareness of liver protection.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), China has about 90 million chronic hepatitis B patients, and 10 million chronic hepatitis C patients – an indicator that the country has an urgent need to help prevent liver disease.
