It's day two of the Fortune Global Forum in Guangzhou, and also the second day on which Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau addressed the summit of global business leaders.
CGTN’s correspondent Yao Chin asked Trudeau to comment on Canada's relationship with China, and how it's been improved by his visit.
Trudeau acknowledged that China and Canada “have a strong history of working together of collaborating” and suggested that the two sides “stay anchored in present and future”.
“There are tremendous opportunities for Canada and China to lead together on innovation, on clean growth solutions, on opportunities for citizens, to get better qualities of life, protect the environment, and also create the kind of economic growth they need,” added the Canadian PM. “We will continue to look for ways to collaborate with China on issues that will be of benefit to citizens here in China and citizens back home.”
