The state visit to China by Namibian President Hage Geingob was a resounding success and will cement the ongoing cooperation between the two countries, according to Namibia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.
Addressing the media on Thursday, Nandi-Ndaitwah said the visit will assist projects in his country in several fields, particularly infrastructure, agriculture, finance and education.
"No doubt, China has a fast growing economy and soon it could become the biggest economy in the world. To that end, the whole world including developed countries are looking at China for business," he said.
He said the visit has increased opportunities for Namibia and urged his compatriots to be strategic in engaging with their Chinese counterparts.
The Namibian president traveled to China from March 28 to April 2 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping and was accompanied by 70 business people.
